On Tuesday 5 Adar II Maran HaRav Chaim Kanievsky traveled for the first time in almost three decades to Meron to pray at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
The inspiration for the trip was the recent fundraising for the kollel network Yissochor BeOhalecha, that included the promise that basic amounts were matched and thus doubled by some big donors, and that HaRav Chaim would daven for those who made nice donations.
HaRav Chaim mentioned the names of all those who asked for it, and prayed for the success of all individuals and of the Klal. He also prayed for success in the upcoming national elections in Israel.
The more personal prayers were said inside the building of the grave itself, but afterwards there was a much larger minyan for Minchah in a special tent set up for the occasion.
Special prayers and Tehillim were said for all donors. HaRav Binyomin Finkel spoke.
