"If we were to immerse ourselves in everything that Agudas Yisroel stands for, we'd be better people!" This call to action, stated with feeling by Rabbi Yaakov Perlow, Novominsker Rebbe and Rosh Agudas Yisroel, resonated among the packed crowd at Motzei Shabbos's keynote session of the Agudah Convention.
In a great and mournful shock for the entire Torah world, HaRav Avrohom Chaim Halevi Levine zt"l , a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of America and rosh yeshiva of Telz Chicago passed away suddenly at the age of 85.
The question addressed to HaRav Yitzchok Zilberstein by HaRav Dr. Akiva Tatz from London and HaRav Dr. Tzvi Distnik from Bnei Brak was as follows:
With the passing of twelve months since the passing of the Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman, there will be a chain of memorial gatherings and eulogies in yeshiva halls, kollelim and shuls, as well as in schools and chadorim. They will be highlighted with the addresses of esteemed rabbonim and roshei yeshiva dwelling upon the pure figure of Maran in order to arouse the myriads of attendants to try to emulate his ways and conducts, and to fortify Torah study, yiras Shomayim and good middos, continuing his heritage transmitted throughout his life as representing the prime leader of chareidi Jewry for over a yovel, bearing the public burden of the generation.
Agudath Israel of America, together with StandWithUs, a pro-Israel educational organization, has filed an amicus curiae ("friend of the court") brief in a case in federal court. The case, Jordahl v. State of Arizona, currently before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, involves a law passed by the State of Arizona that prohibits the state from doing business with businesses that are engaged in boycotting Israel and Israeli products. The law was passed in response to efforts by the Boycott, Divestments and Sanctions (BDS) movement to persuade businesses to refuse to do business with Israeli companies or companies doing business in Israel.

Greatness In Righteousness, Greatness In Wickedness
By HaRav Sholom Schwadron zt'l
Part II
The first part discussed the greatness of mal'ochim and of Yaakov Ovinu in that he used them as messengers as it says at the beginning of parshas Vayishlach. It then points out that Eisov was not impressed by the mal'ochim because he was used to them. It then discussed the importance of kosher money and how much great tzaddikim value it, and concluded with a story about Heavenly intercession for R' Chaim of Volozhin to enable him to say a brocho to drink by sending him someone to answer omein.

A Chanukah Story
One of the reasons for the custom of Chanukah gelt is that the Greeks asserted their control over the money of the Jews. We give out our money to show that we are now in control. This story explores what it means to control our money.
