Rain and Kinneret Watch

Our weekly report of the rain and the level of the Kineret - 5778.

As of December 20 (12 Teves) 152 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 110% of the average rainfall for this period and 28% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.

We are still off to a very positive start. In most of the country the rainfall is above the average rainfall for the period.

The current level of the Kinneret is -214.58 meters below sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters. The level rose 2.5 centimeters over the past week.
