As of February 14 (9 Adar I) 368 millimeters of rain had
fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season
(August 1 to date). This represents 101% of the average
rainfall for this period and 69% of the average rainfall for
the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
In most of the country the rainfall is still above the average
rainfall for the period. In some places in the north, they have already gotten the amount they normally receive for the entire season. The rains have started again, boruch Hashem. More rain is expected soon.
The current level of the Kinneret is -213.335 meters below
sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters.
The level rose 15 centimeters over the past week. It continues to rise from the flow of rain thas has fallen. To get to the
red line we need to rise only 0.335 meters. So far it has risen 1.3 meters. Last year it rose only .76 meters the entire season. It looks likely that we will get to the lower red line. But keep davening.
