Our weekly report of the rain and the level of the Kineret - 5778.
As of December 27 (19 Teves) 169 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 106% of the average rainfall for this period and 31% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
There was more rain on Thursday not included in these figures. In most of the country the rainfall is above the average rainfall for the period.
The current level of the Kinneret is -214.535 meters below sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters. The level rose 4.5 centimeters over the past week. Just to get to the red line we need to rise 1.5 meters.
