The Mashgiach speaking at Mir Yeshiva
In preparation for kabolas haTorah on Shavuos, the Mashgiach HaRav Don Segal spoke in the main beis medrash of Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem.
The Mashgiach said:
Among the ways of preparing for kabolas haTorah is the simchah with Torah and the way we value the fact that we merited to be bnei Torah who are chareidim ledvar Hashem. It is not without cause that in the last generation and particularly in the recent period there are those that try to criticize and debase and trample the dear and valuable bnei Torah.
We must, for our part and in reaction, stand up and feel proud and valuable since we are elevated from the masses and we are further elevated on the day of Matan Torah... "if not for that day there are plenty of other Yosefs in the marketplace."
