The Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah met this past Sunday, the 12th of Adar A, in Bnei Brak in anticipation of the upcoming elections on the 4th of Nisan.
It supports the Degel HaTorah representatives in the Knesset who stand on guard to preserve Torah in Eretz Yisroel. It calls upon and requests that the Knesset and the government enable bnei Torah and whoever seeks to devote himself to Torah, the possibility thereof without impediments, since this is our life's mission.
The Moetzes calls upon and requests a halt to any blows to the sanctity of Shabbos in our Land, and to act in strengthening Shabbos observance altogether.
The Moetzes supports those principals and heads of yeshivos and kollelim, and calls upon supporters of Torah to augment their aid to Torah students.
The Moetzes has appointed Rabbis Moshe Gafni, Uri Maklev, Yaakov Asher, Yitzchok Pindrus, Eliyahu Baruchi, David Ohana and Yitzchok Reich to head the list of candidates for the next Knesset term, and blesses them to be able to increase kvod Shomayim.
The Moetzes also fortifies the hand of those actively involved in the success of the Torah Jewry list and the Shabbos in the upcoming elections, and calls upon the Degel HaTorah representatives and whoever has the power to influence and work towards the increase of voters of `Gimmel', and all the activists and voters to sanctify Hashem's Name through their efforts.
The Moetzes appeals to all avreichim and yeshiva students, as well as to the general public, to strengthen their diligence in Torah study and be cautious in interpersonal matters so that these efforts stand for our merit and success in the elections.
The eyes of all Jewry are uplifted in prayer to the Creator to expedite out Redemption, and the hope that a new light shine upon Zion and that Hashem be crowned over the entire world.
