As of January 10 (4 Shvar) 269 millimeters of rain had
fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season
(August 1 to date). This represents 127% of the average
rainfall for this period and 50% of the average rainfall for
the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
In most of the country the rainfall is above the average
rainfall for the period.
The current level of the Kinneret is -214.185 meters below
sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters.
The level rose 26.5 centimeters over the past week. It seems to be rising
faster. The previous week it rose only 8 cm. Just to get to the
red line we need to rise 1.2 meters.
