As of January 18 (2 Shvat) 192 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 79% of the average rainfall for this period and 36% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
Last weekend and early this week there was significant rainfall. Special prayers are being said. The situation is easing throughout the country.
The current level of the Kinneret is -214.225 meters below sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters. It went up almost 2 inches in the last week.
