As of January 12 (14 Teves) 178 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 81% of the average rainfall for this period and 33% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
The Kinneret basin and the north of Israel generally have heavier than average rainfall for this period and it did rain there in this past week, although it did not rain in Jerusalem.
The current level of the Kinneret is -213.54 meters below sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters. The level rose 3 centimeters over the last week. This is certainly slower than we would like.
