A Delegation of Gedolei Yisrael Will Go To Toronto and Los Angeles

A special delegation headed by HaRav Boruch Dov Povarsky, Rosh Yeshivas Ponovezh, and HaRav Osher Weiss, Gavad of Darchei Torah, will leave for the U.S. and Canada in order to strengthen communities in Los Angeles and Toronto and bring the word of Torah leadership in rallies organized by representatives of the various Torah groups belonging to the international organization "Partners for Torah".
This world organization was founded some ten months ago with the blessing and encouragement of gedolei Yisroel representing all communities and circles in order to enable Jews throughout the world to be partners in the Torah pursued by the tens of thousands of bnei Torah studying in Eretz Yisroel. Its main purpose is to fortify and firmly establish the world of Torah, kollelim, and yeshivos through financial support distributed equally to those Torah institutions in Israel identified with this project. At the same time, the heads of "Partners for Torah" will continue to broaden their activities in mobilizing additional resources to help maintain yeshivos and kollelim.
