The Holy Revolution: Gathering to Save Ourselves from Modern Technology
By Yechiel Sever
"The Holy Revolution" in gatherings throughout the country in absolute adherence of the directives of gedolei Yisroel to combat the threats of modern technology and screening Internet properly for those who require it for their livelihood, is gaining momentum. There is a determined and united front to rally people against the dangers of the Internet, and activists are hoping to reach every chareidi Jew all across Israel.
This past week three preparatory assemblies took place with the participation of rabbonim and administrators of educational institutions in anticipation of major gatherings for the public at large to enlist it to join the royal legions and disconnect themselves from open access to Internet. These gatherings took place in Beitar Illit, Netivot and Petach Tikva, as a follow up to previous such recent assemblies which were held in Brachfeld and Modi'in Illit, Rechovot and Ofakim, in conjunction with the Rabbinical Committee for Fortifying the Walls of Religion.
