"In the past Three Years We Learned that the Public Pot of Gold is not by the Chareidim"
By M. Green
"The Israeli public has raised an outcry, loud and clear, decrying the present financial and social setup," said President Reuven Rivlin this past Sunday in a meeting of the Israel Institute of Democracy in Caesarea.
"I am more concerned about the... conviction that the big money which we need is to be found by one group or another in the Israeli society. We've learned in the past three years that the public pot of gold is not to be found by the chareidim, nor is it to be found in the settlements. The faulty accusing finger pointed at one sector or another is liable to embroil us in a tribal battle within the Israeli society, when we know for sure that the solution to the problem facing us lies primarily in a consorted effort between them."
