Our weekly report of the rain and the level of the Kineret.
As of January 1 (10 Teves) 249 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 144% of the average rainfall for this period and 46% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
In most places in Israel the rainfall so far has exceeded the average for this period so far but the excess has dwindled. Next week is predicted to be very rainy.
The current level of the Kinneret is -212.84 meters below sea level (a very slight fall from last week), which is just a little above the lower red line of -213 meters. It is about four meters from the upper red line of -208.8 meters.
