Our weekly report of the rain and the level of the Kineret.
As of January 29 (9 Shvat) 444 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 153% of the average rainfall for this period and 83% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
In many places in Israel the rainfall so far has exceeded the average for this period so far. This past week was not rainy with highs in the mid-60s in Jerusalem and high in the 70s in lower areas like Bnei Brak.
The current level of the Kinneret is -212.605 meters below sea level (a rise from last week), which is above the lower red line of -213 meters. The Kineret has not risen much this year. It is about four meters from the upper red line of -208.8 meters.
