As of December 26 (23 Teves) 275 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 176% of the average rainfall for this period and 51% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
In most places in Israel the rainfall so far has exceeded the average for this period so far.
The current level of the Kinneret is -211.285 meters below sea level, which is less than two meters above the lower red line of -213 meters. The level rose 1.5 centimeters in the past week. This is still very high compared to recent years at this time. It is more than two meters from the upper red line of -208.8 meters.
