Concurrent to the mass gathering of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children in Jerusalem to cry out and denounce the harsh decrees against the Torah world, and in response to the call of unified Torah leaders, thousands of Jews gathered similarly in London to protest and pray to the Creator through reciting Tehillim for the salvation of their brethren in Eretz Yisroel.
The huge rally in London, equally historically unprecedented, was organized through the joint decision of the city's rabbonim to fulfill the directive of the Torah leadership in Eretz Yisroel to arouse heavenly compassion to fend off the constrictive and coercive rulings against chareidi Jewry in threatening criminal offense for those refusing to serve in the army.
Sunday 30 Adar I at two o'clock British time, thousands of chareidi Jews marched to the square of Yesodei HaTorah, men, women and children, imbued with the solemnity of this stand- up show of solidarity.
London has yet to see a march of this nature, a show of unity and gravity, as thousands of Jews converged upon that site to express their protest against the Israeli government heads seeking to brand bnei yeshiva as criminals. They came and declared from the inner recesses of their hearts that "Torah alone is our life, and the Jewish people and its Torah and values shall not be desecrated."
