As of December 11 (8 Teves) 145 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 141% of the average rainfall for this period and 27% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
In most places in Israel the rainfall so far has exceeded the average for this period so far.
The current level of the Kinneret is -211.37 meters below sea level, which is less than two meters above the lower red line of -213 meters. This is very high compared to recent years at this time. It is more than two meters from the upper red line of -208.8 meters.
