Increase Toil in Learning and Prayers to Remove the Threat of Draft
At the urgent request of Torah leadership, roshei yeshiva in all Torah centers and yeshivos are arousing their students to increase intensive toil in study and diligent application through uninterrupted extended study sessions, as well as to augment prayers and increased commitment made individually. It is hoped this will fend off the sword-threat menacing all yeshivos and Torah centers in these critically decisive days, when voting is taking place in the committee dealing with the law to establish the status of bnei yeshiva. Certainly it is the perseverance of Torah study without interference which is imperative to the very survival of the Jewish people.
Nazeret Illit is being joined to the map of chareidi settlements: This past Tuesday, the dedication and affixing of mezuzos took place in the Torah community center in Nazeret Illit, constituting a foundation stone of the establishment of a chareidi community on Har Yonah. The ceremony took place with the attendance of the rabbonim of the community: HaRav Mordechai Bunim Zilberberg; HaRav Meir Yehuda Fisher, chief rabbi of the city; HaRav Yeshayohu Herzl; MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni; mayor of Nazeret Illit, Shimon Gepso; members of the municipal council and the members of the founding families.
Filtered and Supervised Offices with Internet Opened
The chareidi public joyfully received the news of the opening of the Shemesh Network, the new Agency for Practical Office Services, which will provide office services to the public in a kosher manner, accessible to the entire public, established with the assistance of the Center for Protection Against Technological Threats, under the guidance of HaRav Sariel Rosenberg.

When someone is aroused to do a mitzvah but does not actually execute it, from laziness or the like, he has missed out on an opportunity. But if he was unable to perform it due to extenuating circumstances, the merit of the mitzvah he had intended to do is credited to him.
