This year's gathering on behalf of Yad L'Achim, which took place this past Monday in the Bnei Brak Armonos Chen halls, was extraordinarily impressive, uplifting and moving. As always, it commemorated the year-round activities of this organization in disseminating Torah, education and Kiruv.
It was attended by a full roster of Torah leadership, hundreds of roshei yeshiva, disseminators and lecturers of Torah, Mussar and Halacha, thus providing a tremendous reinforcement to the organization and its hundreds of volunteers, members and activists.
Besides the top Torah echelon were thousands of avreichim from across the board, of all the sectors and communities of chareidi Jewry, who flocked to participate in this gala event, which has been and is always a tremendous increasing source of Kiddush Hashem, a boost for kvod haTorah and for this nation-wide organization which is making a great impact on all the facets of Yiddishkeit. Indeed, Lev L'Achim has made a revolution throughout the country in outreach work through evening Kiruv kollelim and shiurim, chavrusa study partnerships with avreichim, and seminaries for the youth who are responding to the outreach efforts of the Shalheves program and the Lev Shomea hot line. One of the organization's crowning successes is the registration of thousands of boys and girls from secular homes to Torah institutions - every year!
The full representation of gedolei Torah at this impressive seventeenth annual gathering set a high tone, expressing their esteem and appreciation for the holy work accomplished by Lev L'Achim, especially of the project of one-on-one study partnerships of avreichim with men as yet outside the Torah world which has shown blessed results.
