Energetic preparations and activity is being felt for the upcoming Lakewood Yarchei Kallah and especially for the opening session to be held this coming Sunday in Jerusalem. The program will begin on Sunday, Jan. 12 and will end on Thursday evening, Jan. 16.
This will be the fourth year in which some forty businessmen and baalebatim from Lakewood, preoccupied all year round with their various affairs, will leave everything aside to devote an entire week to Torah study. They expect to absorb the special rarefied, uplifting atmosphere of Eretz Yisrael and bask in the presence of our gedolei Yisrael, while growing in Torah and yiras Shomayim. This is not connected with the Agudas Yisroel Yarchei Kallah also held in Jerusalem.
During the week of intensified Torah study, they will be privileged to hear shiurim from foremost roshei yeshiva and rabbonim. Lakewood Yarchei Kallah will be lodged in the Prima Palace Hotel in Jerusalem and preparations are already almost completed to receive the distinguished group headed by HaRav Eliezer Apter, Rav of Kahal Tiferes Mordechai in Lakewood.
