There is much anticipation of the upcoming conference on shmittah issues to be held this coming Motzei Shabbos parshas Beshalach, headed by our gedolei Yisrael and directed to the general chareidi public, highlighting the importance of shmittah observance and the study of the laws thereof. The purpose of this assembly is to arouse awareness and empower those to whom it applies directly — that is, the farmers — to observe the Sabbatical year according to strict Halochoh.
This major event will take place in the Wagshal hall in Bnei Brak, scheduled to begin at 8:45 p.m. sharp. Addresses will be heard from the Rosh Hayeshiva, HaRav Shteinman, HaRav Nissim Karelitz, HaRav Chaim Kanievsky, HaRav Yaakov Eidelstein, HaRav Yosef Efrati, HaRav Sariel Rosenberg and others.
A visual presentation will be shown to the public of amazing sights of past shmittah years and the tremendous impact of Kiddush Hashem which these miracles had on the public where one could see in the flesh the realization of the promise in the Torah whereby "[Hashem] will command My blessing."
