Tremendous Chizuk in Bein Hazmanim Torah Study and Avoiding Technological Pitfalls
On motzei Shabbos Vayikra there was a great kenes in Bnei Brak to pray and to draw strength for the times ahead. The speeches in Bnei Brak were broadcast in botei medrash and shuls throughout Israel and even the entire world was a heartening and moving manifestation of Kiddush Hashem. The message conveyed so strongly was the need for increased toil-in-Torah, which was indeed internalized by tens of thousands of avreichim and bnei yeshiva. Who could not be impressed by the stirring words of HaRav Aharon Leib Shteinman and HaRav Chaim Kanievsky at the Kinnus Bnei Yeshivos which took place motzei Shabbos parshas Vayikra in the Armonos Chen hall in Bnei Brak? The lessons were certainly absorbed by the tens of thousands in the remote locations as well.
Strong Protests against the Anti-Religious Government by Chareidi MKs
MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni symbolically tore up the coalition agreements which were signed between HaLikud Beiteinu, Yesh Atid and Habayit Hayehudi in the Knesset plenum in protest, declaring that "we reject those agreements which harm chareidi citizens and Torah students in this state and they shall not be implemented."
Message of HaRav Aharon Leib Shteinman to the Rally
We are in a time of dire trouble and each and every one of us knows the terrible threat facing us. We have enjoyed several generations of growth and increase in Torah for us and our children. Yeshivos have proliferated and the youth is studying Torah. And now, suddenly, this horrible trouble is facing us, a frightening danger threatening to destroy Klal Yisroel and Torah, G-d forbid. We pray to Hashem that He enable us in His mercy to continue studying Torah for the rest of our lives and that Torah not budge from our mouths and from our children forevermore.
