In Response to Many Questioners, and to Keep From Transgressions
With regard to the new sponge designed to wash dishes called "Shabbatclean" and some imagine a hetter to use it on Shabbos as claimed by Machon Tzomet, we hereby publicize our opinion that it is absolutely forbidden to use it on Shabbos and Yom Tov because of the prohibition of sechitah, and this is also the opinion of the Gavad HaRav Nissim Karelitz shlita. I also checked and I saw that using this product involves a prohibition of sechitah on Shabbos.
