Grave Desecration in the North at Golani Junction

By Yechiel Sever

After a long period of quiet, with the exception of one excavation in the North one month ago that was stopped immediately, the Antiquities Authority has now renewed digging at Golani Junction.

The excavation at Golani Junction, which extends over a radius of several kilometers, were discovered this week by an inspector from the Association for the Prevention of Grave Desecration. He summoned Dr. Sholom Fried to the site, where the Antiquities Authority had dug up two graves and digging work is underway in the yard of the burial cave.

According to an agreement between the Antiquities Authority and the Association for the Prevention of Grave Desecration, before digging the Antiquities Authority must summon personnel from the Association for the Prevention of Grave Desecration to check the matter.
