Yehud Residents Demonstrate Against Scientology-Run School

A large group of Yehud residents, led by the rov of the city, HaRav
Shlomo Tuvim, along with members of Lev L'Achim's Anti-Cult Department
demonstrated last week outside the new Scientology school opened in
Yehud, and demanded the municipality shut it down immediately.
Pamphlets were handed out at the protest calling on Mayor Yossi Ben
David to stop the New Future School run by Scientology, which was
named the most dangerous cult in the report by the Taaseh-Glazer
Committee the Knesset established more than a decade ago to
investigate cult activity in Israel.
Opened at the beginning of this school year, some 100 students bussed
in from different parts of the Gush Dan area are enrolled at the
school.
For several years the Scientology-run school was located in Holon, but
was forced to close following protests by local residents.
