Rebbetzin Sarah Kreiswirth o"h

Great sorrow was felt with the bitter news of the passing of the worthy Rebbetzin Sarah Kreiswirth, widow of the noted HaRav Chaim Kreiswirth, late Av Beis Din of Antwerp, following an extended illness with which she coped with loving resignation and pure emunah.
The deceased was born to R' Avraham Grodzensky Hy"d, Menahel Ruchani of Yeshivas Slobodka, the outstanding disciple of the Alter of Slobodka who met his death in the Holocaust on the 22nd of Tammuz 5704.
At the age of eight, the deceased was orphaned from her mother, Chasya Gitta, daughter of HaRav Dov Tzvi Heller, Mashgiach in Slobodka. She was very attached to her father, who sent her at a young age to study in the seminary in Telz. She later married the brilliant HaRav Chaim Kreiswirth, talmid of Slobodka, at whose side she devotedly stood, assisting him in all of his blessed activities, including his many acts of chessed and tzedokoh.
