The announcement of the creation of Bais Yaakov nurseries
and kindergartens for the English speaking public was
greeted with effusive enthusiasm by that population. As a
result of the implementation of recommendations of the
Trachtenberg Commission, state-funded education will begin
at the age of 3, and even non-citizens may benefit from the
free nurseries.
The Bais Yaakov network has responded to the many requests
for English ganim and appointed an experienced supervisor
for this new section serving the English speaking chareidi
community. A careful selection of suitable, professional
teachers has produced an excellent staff to implement the
broad-based, rich curriculum in the making.
Thus, in the present school year of 5773, ten new nurseries
and kindergartens will be opened throughout Jerusalem for
English-speaking children in neighborhoods including Romema,
Ganei Geula, Maalos Dafna, Har Nof, Mattersdorf, Minchas
Yitzchak, Arzei Habira and others.
