Bnei Brak's Population Increased by 5,000 This Past Year

The Census Bureau of the Ministry of Interior has released statistics accurate to the beginning of this summer indicating that the number of residents in Bnei Brak has grown by 4814, and stands now at 173,743 citizens, as compared with 168,929 a year ago.

The facts show that the City of Torah is tenth in size in the country, with an average family size of 4.2, a figure considered one of the highest of major and middle-sized cities in the country. The population division according to age is: from 0-5: 29,319; 6-12: 28,561; 13-17: 17,937; 18-21: 14,053; 22-40: 40,859; 41-60: 25,222; above 60: 17,792.
