With the backing of HaRav Chaim Kanievsky shlita, on Sunday a new daily study cycle of Orchos Hamussar — based on daily study topics derived from Orchos Yosher, which is being published in a new edition with commentaries and explanations — got under way. The booklet is intended for set study sessions of 7-10 minutes, and new booklets will be published on a monthly basis.
The initiative was conceived by Orchos Yosher, which is dedicated to arranging Torah and Mussar shiurim and is headed by Rabbi Aryeh Kanievsky, and dedicated to the memory of Rebbitsen Bas Sheva Kanievsky o"h. Today the organization sponsors over 100 shiurim around the country and operates a special beis medrash for rabbonim who give shiurim.
With HaRav Chaim Kanievsky's approval, in all shiurim sponsored by the organization, and in yeshivas and schools, Orchos Hamussar will be studied daily, and the first cycle begins with Orchos Yosher, which was written by HaRav Kanievsky himself.
The footnotes and explanations in Orchos Hamussar were written by a staff of talmidei chachamim at the Orchos Yosher Institute, edited by HaRav Lipa Palman.
