community is viewed, and the refusal to recognize its elementary
rights, such as was seen in the Knesset on Wednesday 3 Adar II has not

UTJ Demands PM Meet Chareidi Needs

United Torah Judaism presented a series of demands to Prime Minister
Binyamin Netanyahu regarding problems the chareidi public faces,
particularly the need for a real breakthrough in dealing with the
housing crisis and legislating the Talmud Torah Law.
Petition Filed Against Rosh Ha'ayin Mayor and Officials Over
Canceled Mikveh

A major petition was filed against senior officials at the Rosh
Ha'ayin Municipality to allocate land for a mikveh, the latest move in
a painful, prolonged public debate following a scandalous decision by
the municipality to cancel plans for the construction of a mikveh in
the new Givat Hasela'im neighborhood.
San Francisco: Jewish Community Wages Battle Against Proposed Bris
Ban

The Jewish community in San Francisco is currently battling an effort
to make bris milah illegal. A city resident by the name of
Lloyd Schofield has managed to gather 3,500 signatures — half of
the number he needs to place the issue on the ballot.
Siyum Shas Mishnayos in Memory of those Killed in the Carmel
Fire

At a special ceremony in Nir Etzion, the city of Bnei Brak
commemorated those who perished in the tragic forest fire with a siyum
of Shas mishnayos. Participating were the parents of Rabbi Uriel Malka
z"l, a rav of the prison services who perished, as well as other
government officials and heads of yeshivas who undertook to help the
orphans left after the fire.
