Giant Park Slated for Development in Bnei Brak on Bank of Yarkon River

By L.S. Wasserman

Five communities plan to assist in the development of a 330- dunam (80-acre) park in north Bnei Brak along the bank of the Yarkon River.

According to the plan the park will include playground areas, activities, bike paths and an artificial lake in the center. The project will be funded by a new foundation for the development of Bnei Brak that is funded by contributions from various communities.

Mayor Rabbi Yaakov Asher said he intends to include friends of the foundation in the municipality's plans for extensive, wide-ranging projects, such as courses, a midrasha, educational frameworks, afternoon childcare programs and youth programs for students unable to meet the demands of regular educational frameworks and more.
