Rabbi Shlomo Lorincz zt"l
Led by gedolei Yisroel, roshei yeshivos, rabbonim, dayonim and admorim, thousands of bnei Torah and public figures took part in the levaya of HaRav Shlomo Zalman Lorincz zt"l, who passed away during the night of 1 Cheshvan, 5770, and who faithfully worked on behalf of gedolei Yisroel zt"l veylct"a, who trusted him implicitly.
This week Line 43, a new bus route providing service to Har Hazeisim, began taking passengers to pray at and visit the gravesites of loved ones and gedolei Yisroel buried on the mountainside.
A special tefilloh and Kiddush was held at the large, new Toldos Aharon beis medrash in Jerusalem's Meah Shearim neighborhood on Shabbos Bereishis following the miracle that took place on Motzei Shabbos during Hakofos Shniyos when a totally reckless fringe youth burst into the enormous crowd, causing great chaos and fear and throwing large firecrackers that sounded like gunshots.
The Steering Committee of the Education Conference, comprised of rabbonim and well-known educators, met last week to discuss preparations for the second Education Conference scheduled to take place at Nir Etzion from 23 Cheshvan to 25 Cheshvan (Nov. 10-12).
