Chareidi MKs Unable to Defeat Property Distribution
Bill
Following concerted efforts by chareidi MKs to defeat the
proposal, on Wednesday the Knesset plenum passed a bill in
the Knesset plenum regarding financial arrangements for
couples in the process of divorce, which was brought for
second and third readings despite a decision by the
Agreements Committee.
Although the atmosphere of world recession pervades most of
Israel's advertising firms, where there is already talk of
tightening budgets and freezing certain marketing campaigns,
an entirely different mood dominates the chareidi advertising
world, where the global economic crisis could even be
advantageous.
A rabbi and eight of his students were attacked in Berlin
early this week while returning from an event held by the

front of the van stopped and got out of their car, then threw

passing of HaRav Chaim Cohen zt"l, rosh yeshiva of
Yeshivas Orchos Moshe and Yeshivas Chochmas Rachamim at
Moshav Berechiya, at the age of 52.
