School Year Opens at Hundreds of Chinuch Atzmai Schools Around the Country

With the backing of gedolei Yisroel shlita and with feelings of uplift and gratitude to Hashem Yisborach the school year opened Monday morning (1 Elul) at Chinuch Atzmai schools for boys and girls in dozens of cities and communities in central as well as remote locations around the country.


Secular Rioters Continue Vandalizing Eruvin Throughout Jerusalem

All of the eruv wires in most Jerusalem neighborhoods were broken on the night of Shabbos Parshas Re'eh by a group of hooligans, leaving hundreds of thousands of Jerusalem residents with no kosher eruv whatsoever. A gathering of rabbonim representing all neighborhoods was held to form a plan of action to deal with the rash of destructive incidents aimed at the Shabbos-observant public.


Kever Rochel Open to Standard Vehicles

For years only bulletproof buses were allowed to travel to Kever Rochel, but this week Interior Security Minister Avi Dichter issued orders to allow standard vehicles access as well. Nevertheless walking to the site on foot remains prohibited.
