Chaim Shel Torah is starting a training course for Antwerp
for avreichim interested in becoming private
ramim.
Six months ago community leaders in Antwerp asked that a
program be set up to develop Torah instruction, after hearing
about the success of and the pressing need for such a program
in Eretz Yisroel.
Through the efforts of HaRav Avigdor Philipp, a rosh
kollel in Antwerp, the project was advanced and now a
course is scheduled to open. According to Chaim Shel Torah,
great interest has been shown by educators and
avreichim who came to hear further details about the
organization's activities, training and involvement in the
holy task of serving as ramim in the holy yeshivas.
HaRav Yaakov Bottleman, head of Chaim Shel Torah's consulting
department, traveled to Belgium in order to organize
activities and launch the first course, an overview on how to
construct the entire system optimally.
Over 40 avreichim and educators took part in the first
course and Chaim Shel Torah is preparing further activities
in the city based on the keen interest shown and the
importance of the initiative.
