Mifal HaShas Launches Annual Fundraising Drive

Members of the Mifal HaShas Haolami Executive Board made a
round of visits to the homes of gedolei Yisroel to
start off the annual fundraising drive. They received warm
welcomes, generous contributions and blessings for success in
the fundraising drive for their great work toward promoting
Torah study.
Among the rabbonim the board members visited were Maran HaRav
Yosef Sholom Eliashiv, the rosh yeshiva HaRav Aharon Leib
Shteinman, HaRav Michel Lefkowitz, HaRav Shmuel Halevi
Wosner, HaRav Nissim Karelitz, HaRav Chaim Kanievsky, the
Admor of Vishnitz, the Admor of Gur, the Admor of Belz, the
Admor of Erlau and the Admor of Tzanz shlita.
Maranan verabbonon shlita are calling on every
individual to adopt one Mifal HaShas participant. "In times
like these there is a twofold obligation to [help support]
oskei Torah."
For the kollel men who take part in the program, which
includes regular tests on numerous blatt of gemora,
the stipend helps provide basis subsistence. As HaRav
Eliashiv said, "The support for lomdei Torah and
kollel men is the utmost form of tzedokoh and
should be at the top of the list of priorities for one who
wants to do mitzvas with his funds."
