Yarchei Kallah in Tbilisi, Georgia

This week a delegation headed by roshei yeshivos and rabbonim
from Eretz Yisroel, Europe and the US is in Tbilisi, Georgia
(FSU) for a Yarchei Kallah sponsored by HaVaad LeHatzolas
Nidchei Yisroel. The organization, which has been operating
for three decades in Russian-speaking countries —
starting well before the fall of communism — has set up
yeshivas, kollelim, botei knesses and
mikvo'os.
This year the annual "Chizuk Journey" was headed by Vaad
President HaRav Mattisyohu Salomon, the Mashgiach of Yeshivas
Lakewood, who was joined by dozens of bnei Torah and
baalei batim. The event is expected to bring a big
spiritual boost to local Jews, rabbonim and the educators and
avreichim sent to Georgia by the Vaad.
