HaRav Shteinman Honors Daf HaYomi Siyum in Ashdod

Meoros HaDaf HaYomi sponsored a major event at the main
Vishnitz beis medrash in Ashdod's Rova Zayin
neighborhood to mark the completion of Seder Moed and
the beginning of maseches Yevomos. Thousands of Daf
Yomi learners and maggidei shiurim from the Southern
and Negev Regions were joined by gedolei Torah,
roshei yeshivos and rabbonim, headed by HaRav Aharon
Leib Shteinman shlita.
The enormous event is part of a long list of activities
sponsored by Meoros HaDaf HaYomi to foster Daf Yomi study
around the country. In the Southern and Coastal Regions alone
the organization has set up dozens of shiurim in
various cities. With the completion of Seder Moed it
was decided to organize a major event to increase the number
of participants and encourage existing shiurim.
The gathering was graced by the presence of HaRav Aharon Leib
Shteinman, the Admor of Nadvorna, the Admor of Pittsburgh,
rabbonim from southern cities and the head of the beis
medrash for Meoros HaDaf HaYomi maggidei shiurim,
HaRav Dovid Kovalsky.
The event opened with a special presentation on matters
pertaining to maseches Yevomos. Music was provided by
a band led by R' Aharon Sammet of Jerusalem.
