Cities of Jerusalem and Bnei Brak Award Prizes for Torah
Works

The prize committee of the Jerusalem Prize for Torah
Literature announced the names of the winners of this year's
prizes. Eight winners were selected out of a total of 100
works submitted for review over the past year.
The prizewinners were HaRav Avrohom Mordechai Lederman, HaRav
Uriel Katzberg, HaRav Eliezer Silver, HaRav Yosef Tzvi
Rhinehold, HaRav Refoel Partzovitz, HaRav Efraim Mazoz, HaRav
Yehuda Moshe Yosef and HaRav Yisroel Amihud Klein. Another
ten authors will receive honorable mentions.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at City Hall
on Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
In Bnei Brak, the Bnei Brak Prizes for Torah Literature were
given out during a memorial ceremony to mark 44 years since
the petiroh of the city's first mayor, R' Yitzchok
Gershtenkorn.
The prizewinners were HaRav David Yeshayahu Ba'adani of
Jerusalem, an avreich at Kollel Be'er Yitzchok in
Telzstone; HaRav Aryeh Zilber of Jerusalem, rosh kollel of
Kollel Zichron Yosef in Jerusalem and Haifa; HaRav Yisroel
Taub of Bnei Brak, rosh kollel of Kollel Maadnei Shmuel in
Rishon Letzion; HaRav Dov Meir Tanenbaum of Bnei Brak, a
ram at Yeshivas Chazon Nochum; HaRav Yaakov Lev, a
rosh kollel in Modi'in Illit; HaRav Yosef Aryeh Lorincz of
Bnei Brak, rosh kollel of Kollel Divrei Shir; HaRav Menachem
Moskovitz of Bnei Brak, an avreich at Kollel Beis
Hillel; HaRav Efraim Ze'ev Mazoz of Beitar Illit, rosh kollel
of Kollel Or Shmuel; and HaRav Yitzchok Pinchas of Bnei Brak,
an avreich at Kollel Kisei Rachamim.
