Notice and Warning
A. MIRS has met all of the demands of the rabbonim as agreed
upon in the contract, which required the company to provide
cell phones without content services and an agreement that
the level of blocking would be increased at the end of three
month in such a way that it would no longer be possible to
alter the device. Each card will recognize its own number
alone and it will be impossible to transfer cards from one
device to another, even among the kosher devices.
B. In light of the fact that various people have been
tampering with the current blocking features (for financial
and other reasons), the identification system has already
been introduced and will be installed in phones already
purchased.
C. Reports in a certain weekly (as well as various libelous
writings) alleging MIRS misled the rabbonim are lies. It was
known in advance that expert hackers would be able to
partially breach the blocking feature, but this poses no
threat to the public since it is not readily accessible
— and in fact, even this slight possibility has now
been blocked by MIRS.
D. Since this involves complex, innovative technology there
may be mishaps and temporary breaches any of which will be
dealt with immediately, be'ezras Hashem.
E. The public campaign, which directly affects everyone in
Klal Yisroel, demands constant vigilance against the
destroyers of religion. All reports intended to weaken the
campaign or denigrate its heads is an act of causing the
masses to sin and a deed of Amolek—asher korcho
baderech. Those who lead incitement against the campaign
and work toward its downfall will not be cleansed of sin and
defy the rulings and recommendations of gedolei
Yisroel. Therefore the public has an obligation to hinder
these attempts to interfere.
F. It has been decided that if any cellular company had a
hand in falsifying programs and harming gedolei
Yisroel that company will not be allowed to receive a
hechsher in the future.
G. As we have already stated whoever has a need for a cell-
phone must change their subscription services immediately and
use only cell phones that have received our approval.
