Shearis Yisroel Prepares for Pesach

A team of shochtim and bodkim commissioned by
Shearis Yisroel traveled to South America to shecht
for Pesach. Heading the group was HaRav Yisroel Zicherman,
rov of Shearis Yisroel's shechitoh operations abroad
and rov of Brachfeld Estates near Kiryat Sefer.
The team of shochtim and bodkim was larger than
typical delegations in order to maintain Shearis Yisroel's
high, strict standards, which demand optimal conditions for
unhurried shechitoh and bedikoh while producing
the quantity needed. HaRav Zicherman closely supervised all
shechitoh, koshering and packaging arrangements.
Members of the team were selected, as always, according to
the strict tradition observed at Shearis Yisroel since its
inception, and are highly experienced experts in their trade.
Some of them are members of the veteran staff of the Eretz
Yisroel shechitoh department.
Before setting out, the heads of the delegation received warm
blessings from maranan verabonon, who also expressed
their pleasure over the ongoing tradition of shechitoh
lemehadrin practiced at Shearis Yisroel, according to
both the Ramo and the Beis Yosef. Shearis Yisroel's meats are
glatt according to all opinions, with no ririn or
sirchos, and meet the strict requirements of Jews from
every background.
