To The Editor:
1. Produce stores (including those under top kashrus
supervision) sell highly infested cauliflower and corn-on-the-
cob, and there is no sure way to clean them.
2. Dried figs, even if they have a hechsher, are
highly infested and difficult to check.
3. During this season onions may be contaminated. Separate
the layers and hold them up to the light or rinse
thoroughly.
