Chodosh is Back
by M. Plaut

According to R' Yosef Herman, long-time chodosh activist and the compiler and publisher of the yearly "Guide to Chodosh," from now on, "Freshly baked bakery products may be Chodosh at this time, everywhere in the U.S.A. From this time on, it is advised that only Yoshon bakeries should be used."

The full "Guide" is available for purchase outside his home at 20 Sylvan Road, Monsey, New York, and is also available through subscription or dealers around the world. Those who have email can request an unformatted copy of the guide at the address: Chodosh-request@jif.org.il. The subject of the email is not important but the body of the message should be:

get Guide.txt

This message must be copied exactly, including the capitalization. It invokes an automatic response sending the guide by return email.

The Guide is focused on the U.S.A. but there is a limited amount of information about food from Israel and other countries.

The Chodosh project of R' Herman is not run for profit and does not give supervision of food. It only collects and distributes information about chodosh.
