A mezuza was affixed to the new Machon Taharas Yisroel at a
large gathering marking the seventh year of the Mishkan
Shmuel beis medrash. The beis medrash, which
is headed by HaRav M. S. Klein, is located in Bnei Brak's Or
HaChaim neighborhood.
Machon Taharas Yisroel was founded by gedolei Yisroel
in order to increase the purity of the country by teaching
the laws of the purity of the Jewish home to the entire
community. It fosters a wide range of activities, including
personal guidance as well as Torah shiurim on the
laws of family purity throughout the country and abroad.
The Machon was founded by HaRav Hillel Wertheimer and is
directed by HaRav M. S. Klein, a dayan and moreh
tzeddek in the beis horo'oh of HaRav Shmuel
Halevi Wosner. Six years after the Machon's foundation, it
was decided to dedicate a center for the coordination of all
Machon activities. Rabbonim, morei horo'oh and
marbitzei Torah gathered together at the dedication
ceremony to strengthen this prestigious enterprise.
The event was chaired by HaRav Shimon Lifshitz, rav of the
Emunas Moshe beis medrash of the Alexander
chassidus in the Brachfeld community. In his speech,
he read a letter from HaRav Wosner, who said that purity is
the base on which the entire Jewish home rests. HaRav
Lifshitz described the Machon's many activities.
The ceremony concluded after HaRav Klein affixed the
mezuza. Those in attendance went home imbued with the
feeling that the walls of purity in Israel have truly been
fortified.
