Hespedim for HaRav Shimshon Pincus zt'l, His Wife o"h and
His Daughter o"h are Held All Over the Country

Now and in the forthcoming days, hesped rallies will
be held throughout the country over the tragic accident
which claimed the lives of the tzaddik, HaRav
Shimshon Dovid Pincus zt"l, his righteous wife,
Rebbetzin Chaya Mindel o"h and his daughter Miriam
o"h.
HaRav Shimshon Dovid Pincus was one of the foremost
mezakei horabim of our times, and the one of the
leaders and helmsmen of the bnei Torah communities in
the Negev, who invested all of his energies and lifeblood
into strengthening the klal and individuals in an
especially warm and sensitive manner. He was the rav of
Kehal Adas Chareidim in Ofakim, and his wife, Rebbetzin
Chaya Mindel, was an outstanding mechanechess,
endowed with every proper character trait.
The main rally will be sponsored by the Kehal Adas Chareidim
of Ofakim this coming Thursday, 3 Iyar, and will take place
at 8:30 in the Kivisi Hashem shul. It will be attended by
roshei yeshiva, roshei kollel and marbitzei
Torah of the Negev, and headed by maranan
verabonon, the gedolei Yisroel, HaRav Aharon
Yehuda Leib Steinman and HaRav Nissim Karelitz.
A number of rallies were scheduled for Tuesday night, 2
Iyar, just after the end of the month of Nisan and Rosh
Chodesh. One was scheduled for 8:30 P.M. in Kollel Chazon
Ish in Bnei Brak. At it, hespedim were to be
delivered by HaRav Moshe Shmuel Shapira, HaRav Boruch Dov
Povarsky, HaRav Avrohom Erlanger and HaRav Chaim Aharon Man.
A second rally was to take place at 8:00 P.M. in Jerusalem
in the Ahavas Shalom yeshiva, at which hespedim were
to be delivered by HaRav Yaakov Hillel, HaRav Zeidel
Epstein, HaRav Avrohom Erlanger, HaRav Michel Zilber and by
the niftar's son, HaRav Eliyahu Pincus. A third rally
was to take place at 6:30 in the Ohel Shimon shul in Neveh
Yaakov, at which a hesped was scheduled to be
delivered by HaRav Moshe Man.
On Wednesday, 2 Iyar, three additional hespedim are
planned. One is to be in the main Beis Yisroel shul in Ezras
Torah in Jerusalem. Hespedim are to be delivered by:
HaRav Shmuel Auerbach, by the niftar's father, HaRav
Chaim Avrohom Pincus, and by HaRav Aryeh Finkel. Another
will be held in the Beis Hillel yeshiva in Bnei Brak at 6:30
P.M., at which hespedim are to be delivered by HaRav
Moshe Kopshitz, HaRav Avrohom Yitzchok Kook, HaRav Avrohom
Yeshaya Man and the niftar's son, HaRav Moshe Aharon
Pincus.
Additional hespedim are to be held Wednesday in the
Ofakim yeshiva, after ma'ariv (8:30). Hespedim
are scheduled be delivered there by the heads of the
yeshiva, and by the niftar's oldest son, HaRav
Yisroel Yaakov Pincus. At a gathering in the Or LaYeshorim
yeshiva in Beit Shemesh on Wednesday, hespedim will
be delivered by: HaRav Yaakov Hillel, HaRav Chizkiyahu
Mishkovsky, HaRav Moshe Man, and in the Bobov shul on Chagai
Street in Jerusalem, a hesped will be delivered at
8:45 in Yiddish, by HaRav Tzvi Mayer Silberberg.
A central rally for women and girls was scheduled to take
place on Tuesday in the Ganei Hadar hall in Ofakim,
sponsored by the Neve Yocheved high school of the Mercaz
Beis Yaakov and by the Ofakim seminary. Hespedim at
that rally were to be delivered by HaRav Yedidya Menat,
HaRav Yehuda Aryeh Cohen and HaRav Yeshayahu Lieberman and
family members.
Many other rallies took place during the past few days
throughout the country. At a rally which took place in
Tifrach on motzei Shabbos -- sponsored by the Hisachdus Bnei
Hayeshivos of the Mishan Latalmid organization --
hespedim were delivered by HaRav Yaakov Friedman,
HaRav Aviezer Piltz, HaRav Avrohom Yitzchok Hacohen Kook,
and the son of the niftar, HaRav Yisroel Yaakov
Pincus.
This past Sunday, 30 Nisan a rally took place in the Beis
Yisroel synagogue in Jerusalem, at which HaRav Mattisyahu
Solomon spoke. In Ofakim, hespedim were delivered by
HaRav Yisroel Eliyahu Weintraub and HaRav Avrohom Erlanger.
The Toda'a organization also held many rallies in synagogues
throughout Jerusalem and the country.
