IDF Forces Move Temporarily into Gaza Strip
by Yated Ne'eman Staff
In response to Palestinian mortar shelling of Shderot, a
town in the south within the recognized international
borders of Israel ("the Green Line"), IDF forces took up key
positions at locations throughout the Gaza Strip Tuesday
morning, effectively cutting it into thirds and preventing
Palestinians from traveling from one sector to another.
According to army spokesman, this step is very effective in
crippling the abilities of terrorists to plan and carry out
their evil work.
It's the Law: Bury the Bones in the Cellars of the Tel
Aviv University
by Betzalel Kahn
The Federation for the Prevention of the Desecration of

university has not honored the promise given two years ago
arrange for their burial.

High Court Halts Yeshiva Students' Tax Breaks
by Yated Ne'eman Staff
The High Court ruled just before Pesach that the Jerusalem
Municipality must stop giving yeshiva students who receive
welfare payments from the Religious Affairs Ministry an
automatic 70 percent discount on their municipal property
taxes (arnona). The petition was submitted by city
councilman Ornan Yekutieli and the militant anti religious
Am Hofshi group.

Remembering Rav Shimshon
by Rabbi Nosson Spector
-- and when (Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel's) head was severed
(Rabbi Yishmoel) took it and wailed over him in a bitter,
shofar-like voice: "Woe is the tongue that hastened
to teach words of beauty -- how could it now lick the dust
because of sins?" (The sins of the Jewish people had caused
Rabban Shimon to come to this awful end.) Artscroll

a strong comeback in Eretz Yisroel.
OPINION &
COMMENT
Eternal Independence
The influence and lessons of Pesach are supposed to last and
even be further developed in the seven weeks leading up to
Shavuos. On Pesach we achieve the basic geulah at the
seder on the first night, and thereafter we work to
consolidate and follow through with that until it climaxes
in Matan Torah on Shavuos.

PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE Questions and Answers
by R' Zvi Zobin
QUESTION: My son is in eighth grade. B"H he is very clever
and is learning well, but his handwriting is terrible. His
rebbeim complain that they cannot read what he writes, even
though he is probably giving very good answers. What can I
do to help him write clearly?
