If one thinks that creating a successful ben Torah is
anything less than a miracle, then they should not bother
reading the rest of this article. With the world the way it
is, it's nothing short of a miracle to become an accomplished
ben Torah.
Many yeshiva high school graduates, especially from chutz
la'aretz, face one of the most difficult decisions of
their lives: will they take the dive into the sea of Torah,
gain new insights of mature Torah learning, and create
expanded horizons for a fulfilled life of Torah and
mitzvos?
Sha'arei Chaim has been on the map for over twenty years,
guiding hundreds of such young men. One major reason for the
yeshiva's success is that it remains a small yeshiva. With no
more than 45 talmidim, and a staff of twelve dedicated
rebbeim, every student receives a custom-made personal
relationship, leading to an intense learning experience.
There is a special emphasis on learning how to learn. The
young men are transformed, as they blossom into accomplished
and respected Jewish leaders, educators, and active community
members. They become a true kiddush Hashem, wherever
they are and in all of their endeavors.
However, due to a steep increase in expenses and a general
decline in income, the yeshiva is in a critical financial
predicament. We turn to you for serious assistance so that we
can continue our important task. Please come and share your
support by participating in this year's fundraising dinner.
The dinner will be held on the seventh night of Chanukah,
Thursday night, December 9, 1999 in the Torah Ore Dining
Hall, 3 Rechov Sorotzkin. Ma'ariv at 6:15 p.m.
Moreinu verabbeinu HaRav Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg
shlita, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Torah Ore, will
give a chizuk address. Our guest speaker will be HaRav
Yaakov Moshe Hillel, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivat Ahavat
Shalom. There will be a Grand Raffle Drawing of two round
trip tickets to the U.S., and other valuable prizes. For
reservations and information, please call the office at 537-
1622. Wishing you a happy and healthy winter.
