The world renown kashrus supervision
organization Kof-K, founded and headed by Rabbi
Zecharia Senter, has joined with the Torah outreach
program Mifal Torah Vodaath in arranging a public
test for their 1,450 students.
Mifal Torah Vodaath, a network of after school
Torah classes throughout Jerusalem and Tiveriya,
has four objectives: A. To get the boys off the
streets; B. to introduce the basics of Torah; C. to
rekindle the glorious Sephardic Heritage; and D. to
encourage and guide the boys to a Torah true
lifestyle.
Currently the classes are studying the laws of
respect due to a house of worship and the laws of
prayer. A test is scheduled on Rosh Chodesh Nisan,
at Binyanei Ha'Uma in Jerusalem.
In order to enhance the event, "Kof-K" has agreed
to underwrite a major portion of the costs of the
event.
The prospect of being tested was a monumental
incentive for the entire winter term. When boys in
an isolated community such as Ein Karem see that
they are part of a nationwide organization
dedicated to helping them advance in Torah,
mussar and good manners, they acquire
strength and courage.
