Sanzer chassidim from all over the country assembled on the
25th of Nisan in the courtyard of the Admor of Sanz in
Netanya's Kiryat Sanz for a gathering and seuda in
honor of the 124th yahrtzeit of the founder of the
Sanzer dynasty, the Divrei Chaim.
The highlight of the gathering was the tish of the
current Admor of Sanz, perpetuator of the golden dynasty. In
the tradition of his great forbears, he delivered a Torah
discourse and divrei chizuk.
The central gathering focused upon the spiritual
derech of the Divrei Chaim. Held in the large study
hall of the mesivta of Kiryat Sanz in Netanya, it was
attended by roshei yeshiva, rabbonim, admorim and
venerable Sanzer chassidim.
As each year, awards were granted to the outstanding students
of the Sanzer yeshivos. The Moreinu award was granted to
those who were tested on 1000 pages of gemora and
Tosafos by heart; the Chaver award to those tested on
600 pages of gemora and Tosafos, and the Tsurbo
Meirabbonan award to those tested on 300 pages of
gemora and Tosafos. In line with the custom of
the former Admor of Sanz, ztvk"l, outstanding students
of the Sanzer yeshivos and the famed Sanzer Kollelei Shas
also received valuable prizes.
Special public seudas were held on motzei Shabbos
parshas Acharei Mos along with private melave malka
seudas in homes of Sanzer chassidim the world over. The
public seudas were led by great Chassidic rabbonim,
who discussed the life and thoughts of the Divrei Chaim.
